LO4- Draft of editing Double page spread

I did this in photoshop just before I put it into indesign then added text over the top of the design so it was finished, This design didn't take that long and only took 1 hour to do. The boxes are to hold the writing in so then the text will stand out. The photo on the right has been imported onto Indesign so then I could get an equal spread on all of them.

This is when I have placed all the writing in the boxes and the title is in place xx

This was my first attempt on making a design however I didn't like the lay out and decided to change it. I was going to have another photo in but then I realized that it would look to crowded so decided to use all the image and spread it out to two pages.

This is the double page spread that I have changed as I think this is better because it looks more organised for the reader i change the top name as it goes with the title page.

This is the double page spread when it is changed and the final draft as I decided to bring the L all the way round the writing.

Final touches on the double page spread. I have included a motivational quote what Lorian Biet always says.

LO4-Draft of editing Content page

This is me editing the photo for my content page and this is the progression I have gone through.
The first photo is the original photo however I have change the contrast on the photo a little bit. The second photo is it in black and white as I changed the colour by going to image, edit and black and white. The third photo is the finished photo as all I did was make a rectangle then colour it in blue after that I turned the opacity down so you can see the image behind the triangle. I decided t do this as I thought it would be a nice feature.

This is the content page when it has not much writing and doesn't show the full content page.
The best bit is that I knew where to put my boxes so I had a place for the writing.

The second example is me trying new fonts for the top section so then I have the perfect colour and font to go with the house style. The pictures I have on the bottom are different as I was trying new pictures to see which ones fit perfectly and which ones came out better quality. I decided to pick the ones on the right as they all went with the style and all was good. For this page I am trying to connote that parkour is safe but it takes a lot of training however the page connotes the information in the magazine.

This is the final draft of the content page. When I made my content page on InDesign I used many different tools. One of the tools I used is the box tool and it helped me shape where my writing will be.

LO4-Draft of editing title page

This is when I decided to make the background on Photoshop so for example all I needed to do was to duplicate the layer and switch it round so I had two of the same photo and then levelled them u so it is facing each other.

This is me when I finally decided on what writing to have on the title page so then I could just introduce him to the reader. I decide to go with a font called impact for the writing because it goes with the house style and then I decided to make banners in the background to make the writing stand out.

This is the page when it is finished but in InDesign.
I have chosen to go 4 columns for the design as I thought that I cud match all the text in the columns so it all looks very neat and tidy, The text on the title is all big and old so the reader can understand he is the main man in the magazine. In my opinion I think that the white and white goes together as it matches the picture in the background.

Final Draft

Most of the tools I have used for the front cover are Text tool and Box tool. These were used for the text on the front cover. I used them all the time. I used the guidelines for my text so then it all looked organized. The cross is made from doing black boxes and making them the same size then crossing them over so then they look like a cross. This is a nice addition to the magazine. I have also used the box tool to make banners for the writing.
The different colour text for the front cover has been don by changing to colour and the font has been sorted by the font tool.
The background has been done by changing the gradient for the background.
I would say that my front cover connotes sport and healthy eating and working hard always gets you somewhere ad this front cover connotes that there is a lot of information in the magazine.
The genre of the magazine is easily connoted as it shows that the magazine is a sports magazine and the magazines target audience is 17 to 25 years of age.

LO3-Editing Photos

This is the original photo used so then  I can start editing the photo. This was taken in Hallam university which is a public area.
This is me making sure I have the right size photo and make sure it is correct for the magazine. I lined this up on Photoshop with A4 piece of paper.
This is me using the rubber tool so then I can remove any unwanted background on the photo.
This is me when I have just finished removing all the background and I have decided to change the colour of the photo to black and white as it will stand out and match the house style.

This is another photo I have edited in the making of the magazine however all I did was change the contrast on the photo to make it stand out more.

This is one of my favourite photos I have done and will be one of the best ones I have taken however I didn't do much to this photo to make it look like this. I change the contrast on the photo and cropped it so it would fit for the title page.

LO3- Evidence of production

This is just a quick photo I took when I was taking the photos for my front cover. To show that I was in that area.
This is me editing the front cover for the magazine. At this moment I am just changing the placement of items in the front cover.
