I will not include any off this offensive material with in this magazine as my magazine is a sports events magazine the genre does not include any of this information however the use of drugs could be mentioned, for example Steroids but I will not be including any off that stuff as the magazine will be talking about healthy eating and sports.

LO1-House style photograpphy

Front cover
Sam Petz
Lorian Biet
Alex Glenworth
David Miller
Toby Millington

These models suit the genre of the magazine as they are all free runners and all train in Sheffield. Sam Petz is most likely as he wouldn't mind being in the magazine and he is a sponsored athlete.
I would like to do these photos outside when training in but I just need it to be close up.
the locations I would like to take photo are in Sheffield for example Hallam and Encliffe and Rotherham TK Medium close up I want a picture what looks like Damian Walters.
I would do a level angle as it is suitable and he will be looking into at the camera.
I would like Sam to have a cheeky smile and a cool pose for example arms cross or arms up.
most likely to be wearing parkour stuff.

Content page
Sam Petz
Lorian Biet
Alex Glenworth
David Miller
Toby Millington
Cormac Bailey
Adam Dore
Tim Ford
Brandon
Joe Hill
and many more

As I am apart off the Sheffield parkour and free running these models are good for the poses I want as I want to show what the magazine is all about. I will not use set costumes however they will use baggy clothes as it shows speed and action and is mostly used when training. These location will be anywhere in Sheffield as I am promoting he events what happen with SPKF.Shot types will be most likely to be medium shot or a long shot and the angles which I will use are going to be low or level as it shows the full run. I would like to show the audience the fun I free rung but also the social aspect as it isn't just about training its about meeting new people from different part of the country.

Double page spread.
Sam Petz
Lorian Biet
Alex Glenworth
David Miller
Toby Millington
Cormac Bailey
Adam Dore
Tim Ford
Brandon
Joe Hill
and many more

The double page spreads will include more types off sports as it isn't just promoting parkour but other sport events in Sheffield. The reason why I chose these people is the same as the content page however some do other sports which give me more sports to talk about. Costume will be whatever the person is wearing. The location will be in sports halls or outside in the city centre. Shot types will be medium and long but will also have mostly level angle and if not it will be low angle I chose these shot types as they will show the action and same with the angles. The main reason for choosing these poses is because it will show what the sport is all about.

Sports

Running
parkour
Martial arts
Boxing

bodybuilding.

I have put this video here just to show the person that I will take photos off and include in the magazine is a professional freerunner and all the stunts he performs are very dangerous but also he is very cool at the same time I will try and convince that this sport is fun but also takes a long time to get into and needs a lot off training. So I would highlight that. I also might be able to pick Lorian Biet for my front cover if sam prtz is not free to use.

LO1-Production schedules

LO1-Production plan

LO1-Draft articles

Lorian Biet
Hi my name Lorian I am a free runner from France but I train in Sheffield with a group called steel city. I am apart of SPKF and been training for along time, every time I go out I try something new but I love to create new things to try. I will be going to the event that is held in Sheffield called we jump the world. This is when every city in every country trains on the same day. I travel around the world with Alex Glenworth, Sam Petz, Adam Dore and Brad Hindmarch. When I was young I've always been into free running and will always train with the guys till the end as I feel that the best times of my life are with these guys.

Just recently I travelled to Singapore to train with some people I met at a competition.
On this trip I went to some amazing destinations and met some great people but the best part was the company and the views I saw. The travel was long but worth it and as soon as I got back I trained the next day, as I just love free running. I'm like a big kid when I'm out as I feel free to do what I want.

I am 5ft7 and always been a small guy but I have the legs of a kangaroo. At the moment I wear Puma ST runners to train in as I find the really comfortable but very springy. The shoes give me a platform to land on so it  gives me a softer landing. I wear baggy bottoms so then when I do my moves I can show the movement. The tops I wear are all parkour brands for example Street media and Storror, I wear these tops as I like promoting the companies for my friends in different teams however I still love wearing SPKF clothes.

I am a vegetarian so my diet consists of vegetables and carbohydrates. I am always eating so then I always have the energy to do the moves I do. At the moment I am doing parkour as a job and earning a lot of money.

Parkour
Parkour (French pronunciation Parkour) a training discipline using movement that developed from military obstacle course training Practitioners aim to get from one point to another in a complex environment, without assistive equipment and in the fastest and most efficient way possible. Parkour includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, quadrupedal movement, and other movements as deemed most suitable for the situation. Parkour's development from military training gives it some aspects of a non-combative martial art.
Parkour is an activity that can be practiced alone or with others and is usually but not exclusively carried out in urban spaces.Parkour involves seeing one's environment in a new way, and imagining the potentialities for navigating it by movement around, across, through, over and under its features
Parkour was developed in France, primarily by Raymond Belle, and further by his son David Belle and his group of friends, the self-styled Yamakasi, during the late 1980s. The discipline was popularised in the late 1990s and 2000s through films, documentaries, and advertisements featuring the Yamakasi.

LO1-Flat plans

This is an example off a front page on a collage magazine and I have done this so I know how to do the layout and plan. So I know the position needs to be. The writing on this will give me a brief idea on how to put the text. The blue contrast with the grey really well I have kept the same fonts through out so it will go and the colours are levelled out so I don't have too much off each colour. The masthead goes with house style.

Cover Page

LO1- House style moodboards

This is just an example on what I want my fonts to look like and what my mastheads could look like.
This is the font I will use for my magazine as it looks gritty and represents parkour very well.

This is the masthead off my magazine and I think I would like to use these colours a they contrast well together because of the colour wheel.

Colour schemes

I have picked all these colours as most of them contrast with each other as I'm making a Sheffield local event about a sporty theme. The colours I picked are all light which will represent a sporty feeling. Another point is that the red goes really well with the name of the magazine as it represents danger. The black and white will be used for text and also used for doing banners and columns. The yellow and grey contrast with each other very well and I like the way I can use the yellow to make some of my tezt stand out. The blue will represent light and speed as this sport contains the aspects of speed. The back ground colours will be all white and black also the text writing could be also red.
I have decided to chose this masthead as it looks really good

LO1-Examples of existing magazines

For this magazine unit I would like to make a local Sheffield event about parkour as it has many events. I would like my magazine t promote parkour and get more people into the sport. I would like to do this by introducing some off the amazing people you meet and how much traveling you do with them.

One thing I love about all these magazine covers and spread sheets is that they all have really good placement with pictures and writing. The best thing abut all these pictures is that the colour they used is really good and they stuck to the house style. I would like to present my magazine like a couple off these just to show what parkour is a why do people do it. The best thing about the front covers is that they are all different but I do like the sport one better as it has good placement. I would like to include writing over some ones face like the Rita Ora one. I like the fact they have used negative space very well also the lighting on the photo the best but is how the colours contrast with each other. I like the Dai Hard as it presents its genre very well and I like the picture that has been anchored.

LO1-Reader profile

LO1-Mindmap of ideas

The mind map

One reason it is beneficial is that it lets me see what I need to do and give me a wide range of ideas. The mind map will help me decide hat I need to put onto my magazine and how I will do it also it will help with all the pages of my magazine. The mind map will help me think what I need to do and what I need to research.  The house style will be suitable for the target audience and the genre.
I went though planning my idea for the magazine and I couldn't get the right name for it. But as I ask my friends which do free running and they suggested Level Up

LO1-Prelim task for collage magazine

This is when I only just imported the image and masthead
I just started to add text, to test the placement for the magazine
At this point I have change the mast head so it will stand out better
This is what I think looked good but I didn't know about the headers on the shoulder

Final version

I have learned how to contrast the colours well and keep to the house style. I also learned how to edit the masthead also I learned how to size things and where to position things. I learned the name of sections of each part on a front cover.

I think that my front cover looks really good as the colours go with it also the positioning is correct and I think I used the right font for it.
This is a example off what a collage magazine should look like and I will use this as a base for my flat plan.

I have looked at the size off a real magazine and made mine the same size so it is correct. The resolution off this piece is 300 so then it will be better to print out.
